International Business May Be For You

It is a big world out there and your small business could find a way to capture some of the customers that are just waiting to hear about you and your products. Do your products or services lend themselves to "overseas" trade? If they do, then maybe it is time for you to find out how you can take advantage of all the opportunities, just waiting to be won.

International trade is one way to find new and exciting markets for your business and a way to expand and find new customers or suppliers. Over the years, I have worked with many businesses that have seen their sales skyrocket because of the new markets they have found in other countries. Some of the products they import have helped the business owner reduce costs, by doing away with the middleman.

Imagine It - Manifest It - Share It

I'm reading a fabulous book at the moment called Start With Why by Simon Sinek.  I heartily recommend it for its great insight into what makes companies gather and retain dedicated, loyal clients.

Sinek writes a great deal about Apple, a company universally admired not only for its innovative products, but also for its cult-like following.  It's something most companies have a very difficult time replicating.

Sinek proposes Apple has done so well because they started with "Why?"  In more formal business language, this means Apple has a mission statement.  And they stick to it.  Apple's "Why?" is "think different."  And there's no doubt they do.

Selecting the Best Professional Translators

The key to ensuring the highest quality result for your translation project is to have access to the most qualified, professional translators in the business.

To ensure the best results, it is not enough that your language provider has a great number of translators in their network from which to draw. The provider must also apply the highest standards in the selection of their translators in the first place.

What are the standards that your provider applies in the selection of translators for their clients' projects?

When talking with your language provider, ask about the background, expertise and experience of the translators that will work on your projects. Are they professionals that work on projects full time? Or, do they only work on projects part-time for extra income? You need someone who is committed to the field.

Do You Want an Arabic Translator or an Interpreter?

Many individuals often use the terms " translation" and "interpretation" interchangeably and it is common to think that interpreters translate or that translators interpret because both fields involve converting from one language to another. However, interpretation and translation fall into separate job categories and require differing skill sets, particularly in the Arabic language context.

Translation involves converting the written text of one language into that of another. Translators focus on written words, charts and graphics. Translation involves converting words - books, articles, websites, movies, or even works of art into the translator's native language; this is an important point. Except in very exceptional situations, translators should only translate into their native tongues.
